The world's population is slowly becoming an undead horde, however R, is a young and odd zombie who thinks. While feeding on humans one day, R meets Julie (still human) and suddenly has an urge to protect her. What happens is the start of a very strange and warm relationship that allows R to begin having his human side back. Soon, this strange phenomenon is spreading in the undead population.... which brings about another issue they have to challenge that would threaten their friendship.

Okay, seems like today is filled with really interesting films that is infused with something deeper.

This film may seem comedic on the surface but if you actually look past or go "exhume" the film... you get to see that it's actually deep.


Being a Zombie is a metaphor for people living a life without color, without passion, and a life that takes it as it is with no questions, cautionary. It's also a life where one forgets who he/she really is.

Being a bonie on the other hand are people who gave up or can be that part of self which buys fear, our shadow, the dark force.

This is actually beyond apocalyptic but is actually an awakening veiled.

There are many references to remembrance, forgetting, triggers, and the 100th monkey concept plays as well, and that change can often just come from one person and a small group of individuals who are crazy enough to challenge the norm and who does not fit the "norm".

Also, music plays an important role to the person here...

And this also shows that whenever there's change, there's always a counter-force, when your Imaginal self steps in.

This book starts after the mysterious disappearance of Rowan Mayfair. Then there's the sexually adventurous Mona Mayfair who seems to be more powerful than Rowan.

This is the first of the Anne Rice books I've read. I have lots in my bookshelf but haven't got time to finish them. I found out this was the second book of the series. So... i was a bit lost. Mhmmmm... it's dark and sensual. Gory sometimes but not too much. Kinda maddeningly weird.

I wasn't really expecting that the Mummy would have a sequel. This time, the son of Rick(Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn(Maria Bello) named Alex grows up and follows his dad's footsteps and became an explorer himself.

Emperor Han(Jet Li), the Dragon Emperor was doomed to spend eternity in suspended animation, with 10,000 warriors, forgotten by many people. Alex who wants his own find... went on for a quest to find the Dragon Emperor and his army. the reckless young archaeologist must seek the help of the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead: his parents.

I don't think I really enjoyed a lot with this 3rd part of the Mummy series. Was I expecting too much, that everything went down the drain? The humor in the movie this time seemed so off, and there's just sooo many things missing.

I wasn't blown away, when I expected to be.

Mimic 3: Sentinel - 2003

Overview and Review of Mimic 3: Sentinel directed by J.T. Penny.

Marvin, a sickly, asthmatic and allergic amateurish photographer 24-yr-old guy is confined to an apartment room and spends most of his day taking pictures of people in the apartment building. He makes all pictures into a collage in his bedroom wall. Then two of his subjects disappeared a young boy and Desmond a drug dealer and a friend of his sister Rosy. With the aid of Rosy and Carmen (a neighbor he admires) they are about to uncover the truth behind the Garbage Man(the one they suspect to be behind everything).

Personally, I was quite disappointed with the movie. I was expecting it to be soo scary compared to the first 2(two) Mimic movies. The story was SLOW. You would only shout at the near end (second disc on our case)... and that's about it.

But some would love the movie. It was done artistically. And since I learned it was a low-budgeted movie, the director actually balanced it all out. The voyeuristic style of the movie was unique.

If you want to scream, don't watch this. If you want something unique, go watch it. :)

Beowulf - 2007

Overview and Review of Beowulf the movie directed by Robert Zemeckis

This is basically an ancient tale that is often read to childiren or assigned to be read in English/Reading subjects.

A lot were excited how it would go and all. I was kind of curious because it stars Angelina Jolie and I wasn't expecting much. Although, I was kind of expecting it would be super great.

This is a story of King Hrothgar's kingdom which was terrorized by the monster named Grendel. and help came from Beowulf an arrogant young hero(at least that's how I see him when he was young) with his amazing tales of how he killed sea monsters.

Why arrogant? Cause of this line:

"I am Ripper... Tearer... Slasher... Gouger. I am the Teeth in the Darkness, the Talons in the Night. Mine is Strength... and Lust... and Power! I AM BEOWULF!"

Visually - it was great. I mean it is 3-D and all (I wasn't expecting about that part). Although, it would have been better if it was done in real life - but I guess it would be too gross. I mean with all the men getting cut in half by Grendel?

There were some parts I did not particularly enjoy. Or it lacked something? I am not sure. All I know I wasn't "that" overwhelmed with the said movie, or maybe because I took it too seriously. Everything's just fine.

I love the soundtrack. "A Hero Comes Home". It fits the said movie. Nice Nice.

I have come to understand now that a movie that comes from a book or an epic would encounter a lot of changes. They usually don't stick to the story. They always add twists. And for the twist on this one..twas good! :)
