This is a somewhat family drama set in a small town where almost everybody knows each other. This interweaves the life of Arthur who is a teenager, and his old baby sitter, Annie(Beckinsale), Annie's estranged husband, Glenn (Rockwell) and their daughter (Tara).

I find this quite a dark movie... however it was excellently done. With all the acting that can really bring you to tears or probably even engulfing your heart sadly. Good thing that the director made things quite light with the budding teenage romance between Arthur and Lila. Great writing and directing.

Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) and Barbossa embarks on a journey to find the "fountain of youth", and crosses paths with a woman from his past Angelica (Cruz), and not sure if he is really in love or whether she's just being her usual self a con artist who is just using him to find the "Fountain of Youth". He then finds out that she is the daughter of the Legendary and formidable pirate Blackbeard (McShane) and finds himself in an unexpected adventure.

The goofy pirate we have all come to love returns on this mystical adventure...  I like the presence of the mystical creatures... mermaids..... Hehe. They are dangerously sexy... .This was also a momentous time in my life as this was my first time to watch a movie "alone" in a cinema. Haha. One of my LEAP action plans. :)

I love the chemistry of the actors.... and the funny antics of Sparrow... it was never boring... it was either humorous or just action packed.

Its not the best of the Pirates of the Caribbean series though. I still like the 3rd installment better. Haha. ;)

FUNNY LINES

Jack Sparrow: You lied to me by telling me the truth?
Angelica: Yes.
Jack Sparrow: Thats good! May I use that?

Captain Teague: I heard where you're headed. The Fountain.
Jack Sparrow: Have you been there?
Captain Teague: Does this face looks like it's been to the Fountain of Youth?
Jack Sparrow: ...Depends on the light.

Angelica: [Jack turns to leave] Wait! I'm with child... it's yours.
Jack Sparrow: I don't remember...
Angelica: You were drunk.
Jack Sparrow: I don't think I've ever been that drunk.

Andrew Gainer's sister was murdered one day and he swore that he will avenge the murder of his sister together with his lover, Leslie. Gainer then joins a cabal operated by a master strategist. Racing through Manhattan, Zurich and Paris, this is a pulsing, sophisticated thriller.

It took me awhile to really get on with the story.... but however once I picked up it just went on and led me to a story of vast amount of money, greed, revenge and murder.

Category: TV Series

Genre: Action / Drama

Federal Agent Jack Bauer can't afford to always play by the rules. As a member of the L.A. Counter Terrorist Unit, Jack must stop bombs, viruses, assassination attempts, and usually save someone he cares about at the same time. Every season of this series has 24 episodes, each unfolding in real time following a consecutive hour in one very bad day.

Justice for the past or retribution for the present. Annoyed at Tom Lennox because of his views but later it began to shift and you begin to soften up to him.

Wayne Palmer as President is very admirale at times when he takes full responsibility for his choices/decisions.

This movie sure makes you realize a lot about being a President... that you may have all the answers when you are not sitting on the Presidential chair but then when the full responsibility falls on you.... you never know anything.

I like how the people in CTU look out for each other as a team despite their differences.....

WHAT A MARATHON. Watched this for the whole day with my mom!

In The Name of Love - 2011

Emman Toledo (Muhlach) is ready to go back to the Philippines after being an overseas worker in Japan. Emman, makes a bad move when he was about to go home as he decides to be a mule to the Yakuza seven years ago and was caught by the authorities.

But, he later goes back to the Philippines, struggling financially but was able to open a dance studio. Emman and Mercedes meets as he was to be the dance instructor for the upcoming Governor's Ball as they both reveal their dark and passionate past together.

Gah. Too much drama. I thought it would be a fun movie... similar to chick flicks. But, it became heavy one fourth of the movie and was unbearable and quite predictable at times.  Good thing I enjoyed my company when I watched this. I had flu when i went out of the cinema though.

The Men Who Stares at Goats - 2009

After his marriage fails, a reporter, Lyn Cassidy (McGregor) in Iraq might just have the story of a lifetime, after meeting a special forces agent (Clooney) who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit called the U.S. Army's New Earth Army whose goal is to end war as we know it using paranormal powers in their missions.

At first I had fun with all the new age-y feel one can get from the movie. But, I have a feeling its some sort of a new age spoof. There's a lot of quotable lines and special relevance to the Star Wars.. and the Jedi way.. all of which are tagged to the "New Age". Well, just enjoy it... at least it delves and looks into a possibility where soldiers will fight using non-invasive ways. no bombs, no guns.... just love and flowers and indigenous music. Hippie Military eh? Why not? :)
