For One More Day - Mitch Albom

Category: Books

Author: Mitch Albom

This book is about a day in the life of a man named Charley "Chick" Benetto, who gets to spend one more day with his deceased mother of eight(8) years, after desperate attempts of trying to kill himself.

This novel goes to show how one visit from a deceased loved one, can alter the course of another person's life. I think this book is really fitting about "mothering" and understanding mothers. It's heartwarming, like a book with a mother's comfort. At least that's how I felt. It shows our mother's story, how we sometimes fail to understand them. And that they too have been through shitty ordeals.

Quotes I Love:

"When you are rotten about yourself, you become rotten to everyone else, even those you love."

"That's the thing when your parents die, you feel like instead of going into every fight with backup, you are going into every fight alone."
