The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Category: Books Genre: Inspirational Author: Antoine de Saint-Exupery

A review and overview of the book "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

It's original title is "Le Petit Prince". This book is often used as a beginner's book for students who wants to learn French.

It's basically like a children's book but the values and viewpoints presented are for adults. Adults are so much concerned by "matters of consequence" that adults forget to cherish the little "hearty" details in life.

A very inspiring book and it has been translated into 160 languages already. In fact, it has the Filipino version called "Ang Munting Prinsipe". For those who doesn't enjoy reading you might as well have fun on this one because it has drawings made by the author himself. That's why it's not so much of a task to read it.

This is also where the famous saying "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye" originated. There's also a thing about death here when the little prince said "You understand.. It is too far. I cannot carry my body with me. It is too heavy. But it will be like an old abandoned shell. There is nothing sad about old shells."

There are a lot of things you would get from "The Little Prince's" experience.
