Overview and review of Watchmen Directed by Zack Snyder
This movie was based on a graphic novel. I haven't read that one so I don't know about any alterations or whatsoever.
This movie is set on 1985, the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown, but after one of their masked colleague is brutally murdered, they were brought together. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so discover a deeper and far more diabolical plot.
It's a long movie and I find it gory but nevertheless I enjoyed the storyline. Great picture and special effects as well. Watchmen is something special though and deserves discussion and wonderful dialogue in between.
Quotes:
Rorschach: You see, Doctor, God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those dogs. If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind. From then on I knew... God doesn't make the world this way. We do.
The sole purpose of this blog is to give a review of books I've read, movies I've seen, places I've been, and food I've eaten For blogs, websites and business establishments as well. Or anything under the sun that needs a review. It can be your shoe or even your boo.

Overview and Review of the movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past directed by Mark Waters.
Connor Mead, a successful notorious fashion photographer who is a player and has a bad boy reputation of loving beautiful women and dumping them when they fall in love with him, goes to his younger brother's(Paul) wedding, the only family he had alive, to convince him not to marry. He arrives at his dead uncle's estate during the rehearsal the night before the wedding; he starts in, taking his brother aside, trashing marriage and being cynical about it all.
His uncle, who taught Connor all he knows about women, appears later in the men's room with him and confesses that he realized he was wrong, and tells Connor that three ghosts will visit him that night: the ghosts of girlfriends past, present, and future. Can he learn anything from his life and fix what was broken?
This is a movie for all the players out there and for the women who cried over a player. *and I did not know.. I'd be one of them too! Shucks! RAWRRRR.* :) There was a part in this movie that I cried. And it's a nice thing after Ebenezer Scrooge. hehe.

Happily N'ever After 2 - 2009
Category: Movie / Cartoon
Genre: Animation / Fairy Tale
Director: Steven E. Gordon, Boyd Kirkland
Writer: Chris Denk
Tagline: Another Bite @ the Apple.
Review and Overview of Happily N`ever After 2 directed by Steven E. Gordon and Boyd Kirkland.
In the Fairytale Land, King Cole is married with his beloved Queen Grace, who is loved by everyone in the kingdom due to her altruism and goodness. When Queen Grace falls seriously ill and finally dies, the widower King Cole raises Snow White alone.
Meanwhile, Mambo and Munk tipped the scales of good and evil. The spoiled Snow White becomes a selfish and snobbish teenager for the disappointment of her father. She'd rather have fun with friends Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and Little Bo Peep than help peasants.
Snow White’s father is matched up with Lady Vain - a scheming witch brewing to rule the kingdom. Snow White becomes a thorn in Lady Vain’s side. She will do everything to keep Snow White away.
Now, I dont think i need to spoil what other characters might be there right?
At first, I wasn't all too thrilled but then later on I enjoyed the whole thing. I like the moral of the story and it was a good remake (although, of course nothing would always beat the original story). I had fun identifying the characters before the movie gets to tell their names. Hehe. Meaning I am really a fairy tale buff. Yay!
Some quotes I like:
"Just remember that a job gets harder of you only think about yourself."
"Just remember the mirror only tells you half the story, true beauty comes from helping others."

Genre: Drama / Mystery
Director: John Patrick Shanley
Writer: John Patrick Shanley
Cast: Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Alice Drummond, Audrie J. Neenan, Susan Bloomaert
Tagline: There is no evidence. There are no witnesses. But for one, there is no doubt.
Overview and Review of Doubt directed by John Patrick Shanley
Set at a Catholic School in the Bronx in 1964. A charismatic priest, Father Flynn(Philip Seymour Hoffman), is trying to turn upside down the schools' strict customs, which have long been fiercely guarded by Sister Beauvier, the Principal. And then the school has just accepted its first black student, Donald Miller. At the center of "Doubt" is the mystery of whether or not a priest (played by Philip Seymour Hoffman) is guilty of taking advantage of an altar boy.
I like the acting... poignant. Its a gripping drama... And very touching. and would also make you want to doubt.
Father Brendan Flynn: Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty. When you are lost, you are not alone.

Overview and Review of the movie Bedtime Stories
A man by the name of Marty Bronson (Jonathan Pryce) is narrating a story. The story is about himself as the owner of quaint hotel that is also ran by himself and his 2 children. The daughter, is very serious minded and runs the front desk efficiently. And the son, has a wondrous imagination that will take him anywhere (who grew up to be Adam Sandler later). Little do the kids know is that the motel is in debt, and that their father Marty is forced to sell to an English chap by the name of Barry Nottingham. However, Marty will only sell to Barry under the agreement that his son run the place when he is of age.
This is a wonderful family comedy about a hotel handyman who once owned the hotel and was even previously promised to run it one day and whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.
Entertaining and can take your imagination to places.... :) Bedtime Stories is great to watch with your family and kids. :)
Fun Quotes:
Marty Bronson: Your fun is only limited by your imagination.
